The Association for Studies in Public Economics (ASPE)

in cooperation with

The Center for Eastern and Central European Cooperation in Institutional Development (CECID AB), Stockholm University

State University “Higher School of Economics”

Preliminary programme for Workshop Friday 6 October at the Higher School of Economics, Room 31l. Myasnitskaya, 20, Moscow, tel. 928-0421.

The purpose of the workshop is to discuss papers from the conference in June which could be published in the working paper series of the ASPE. The papers will be published in Russian and English. At the workshop the papers will not be presented by the authors (they were already presented at the conference in June). Each paper is attributed two Discussants to ensure that as much relevant comments are given as possible. Discussant 1 plays the main role and will also edit the Russian version of the paper after revisions of the author. It is suggested that the discussion is organised as follows: As short summary of the paper is given by Discussant 1 (max 5 minutes). Discussant 1 then provides comments and suggestions which could make the paper publishable (10-15 minutes). Discussant 2 is to add comments and suggestions and raise questions for a more general discussion (max 5-10 minutes). Questions from the rest of the group and general discussion (5-10 minutes). Each paper is thus devoted a maximum of 35 minutes. All participants are expected to read the papers and take active part in the discussion even if they are not “Discussants”.
